Seaworld helped me find my hubby

Well I am so lucky. I have just won a family yearly pass to Seaworld. Its for the website www.kidspot.com.au I'm the official My Fun Mum for Seaworld.

Let me start by telling you about my life and love of Seaworld. I grew up at Bondi Beach in Sydney. Every year we would come to the Gold Coast for sun and surf. We also visited Seaworld. I remember being a teenager and thinking,
" those lifeguards at the waterpark must have the best job in the world! I'm going to do that one day". We moved to the Gold Coast when I was 17. I went and did my surf lifesaving bronze medallion and my first aid course. Then I applied: first I lifeguarded at Wet n Wild then at Seaworld. I worked at Seaworld for years every summer. I often went travelling in winter. I loved it. I would ride my bike to Seaworld about 45 minutes from my house. I had a ball talking to people from different countries. Actually I spoke to a Brazilian here, his name was Casio (like the watch).I told him I would visit Brazil one day. I did visit Brazil and he's the one who told me go to Itacare Bahia Brazil- small town , nice surf. So I did. There I met my great hubby. Seaworld helped me find my hubby. Its so funny how everything is linked when you think back.

Back to our recent visit and my awesome prize. I also got a $200 giftcard to spend on anything in Seaworld. My sons shocked face when I said he could buy anything he wanted. Was priceless. Mums never say that to there children.

I haven't been to Seaworld for 3 years, they have a lot of new attractions. We couldn't do it all in one day.

They have a new baby dolphin swimming with her mother- that is so cute to see. the first baby dolphin in 10 years in the park. They the dolphins must be happy now- they are breeding.

Ray Bay was awesome - all different types of stingrays, amazing colours and you are encouraged to touch them on the sides as they swim past in the pettin pools. This great as I have been scared of stingrays since Steve Irwin.

They have a new roller coaster- Jet rescue, this is so fast and my son was allowed to go on it, you have to be over 125 cm. I found it so fast and scary. I think when you have children, your sense of balance changes.

There is a Sesame st show this was great for my toddler. they sing to hot latin rhythms. Like "The Rhythm is going to get you" Gloria Estavan, The Limbo, I'm feeling hot.

The dolphin show is a must see and is amazing.

What a better way to end a hot, tiring day then to cool off in the waterpark. The slides shut at 4pm, which was disappointing. My son now being old enough to go on the slides and asking all day,
"Can we go to the waterpark now". They never closed early when I was working there. It must be a cost cutting thing- its a real shame for the tourists.
Thats whats makes Seaworld so good, its mix of rides, animals, waterpark, and sealife.
Loved it.
Thanks Seaworld will be back soon
