YouTube - 4 Year-Old Hip Hop Dancer Miles Brown On Ellen Show 10/20/2009 He is so good and only 4 years old. His dad or mum probably loves to dance. Its amazing but what ever we as parents are in to our children will be to. What an opportunity! What pressure! Obviously my kids are going to love the beach and surfing. My 7 yr old can surf on any board short board to malibu. Thats what he's been around his whole life. My toddler also always stands straight up on any board. It was another day in paradise. Hot like summer without being too humid. The ocean is warm like a bath. Love the beach down at Rainbow. We took the log out today. A very heavy old single fin long board / Malibu. Fun fun can catch anything.  All we need is a little more swell. Saw this on a shirt today, "Life is better when you surf". I have a tshirt that say," Waiting for waves is Ok. Some people spend there life waiting for nothing!". "All we need is love and a good day surfing. ...

How I started surfing.

I always loved the beach, we grew at Bondi Beach Sydney Australia. That famous little clam shaped cove. I had to walk over a hill for about 10 minutes then I was there. My first surfing devise was a surf mat, you know what they are, they are back in again. Everything old is new again. That feeling of the cool refreshing ocean on a hot day- wow. Then to get the adrenaline rush of a wave- wahoo! Next came the boogie board /body board. faster more control on the wave. I could go out of the flagged area and surf were those scary fiber glass boards were. "Oh I'll never surf on one of those, they can hurt if I fall off". When I was 15 years old, my brother who loved break dancing at the time, (he would go basking with his ghetto blaster in the city outside the movies) got a Mark Richards Twin fin surfboard. It must be great it had 2 fins instead of 1. So I had a go! First I learned to kneel, about 6 months it took me. Thats why lessons for surfing are the best thing. You l...

SALTY Surfer Girl Gold Coast QLD Australia

Here I am living in Paradise. Literally a surfers paradise. We have the best waves in the world right here on my doorstep. I've traveled and lived all over the world- only places that have surf, of course! Some of my favorite surf locations are: Costa Rica, Mexico, Indonesia (although I won't go there now I have family to protect too many bombings). Its been been flat, and more flat all summer. I kept telling all the Surfing Mums" Feb to March there will be swell- in our cyclone season". Just like clockwork on Feb 1st 2010 the waves came. Since then we have had 2 great swells. I caught some waves at Greeny that were so long my legs ached. How can you explain this joy to someone that doesn't surf! Everything has to be right; the swell, the wind -glassy of course, the crowds, have to sit in the right spot in the lineup. Then Wham Bam the best waves of my life. I love it, yes I'm a surf stoked loving surfer.
