This year the Quiksilver and Roxy Pro didn't get the great glassy and big swells it had on other previous years. Most days were onshore choppy and smallish. I would go for a surf and think this is terrible then I went up to watch what the Pros did with it and it was mind blowing. They are so good. The council happily helped out by pumping sand onto Snapper Rocks . this gave some fast barrels on the take off spot behind the rock. The Freebies this year Were great as they always are. We all love a freebie. I got stacks of stickers "Best" and you fill in the blanks with free permanent markers. Ok I did have to work to find these by just asking in the Quiksilver shop. Tahiti We went there last year on the way to Brazil. Gorgeous Island . Stayed on the main Island of Tahiti itself. Gorgeous reef to snorkel in at the local beach. Lovely French language. Loved it! New Zealand North Island Saw the famous left hander Raglands. It was freezing so I didn't surf there. Snowboard here for the first time, actually found skiing easier. I would always lean back to turn like in surfing. As as I did this I would fall. The Quicksilver and Roxy pro Rocked today. Such great surfing from the guys and the girls.
