Fourteen ways to trim the fat from your food bills + Seaworld + Cyclone Ului

Fourteen ways to trim the fat from your food bills
| BabyCenter

Good article with some good tips on saving money. I love how its trendy to be economical- a while ago they had other unflattering names for it.

Had a magic day at Seaworld (part of my yearly pass prize form kidspot) again. Hubby was working it was just the kids and I.
At Ray bay you can feed the stingray fish- it cost $7 (which I would of paid but they said I could n't use my gift card) so we watched other people. The rays actually come all the way up the side of the pool it get the fish its amazing. You can see there faces- eyes and mouth on their underside. Its really exciting.

We went to the waterpark and the slides were being rotated. Each one open for only one hour. The big huge raft ride was open. My son was now tall to go on it. Except I couldn't go with with him because of my baby daughter. So we thought it couldn't hurt to ask if they could open the other slide early. There wasn't enough staff, so the Lifeguard supervisor for the day - Ben offered to walk my son to the top. My son said he would go down. He did it and love it and went on again and again. Ben was very considerate and made my son's day. Mine too as I was happy that he got to down and was tall enough.

Then it was over to lunch at the buffet restaurant. Last time we were we there the trays were half full which I mentioned to the sprucker outside Arnette. She told me to come back and we could all eat for $10 and that she would make sure all the foods were there. Arnette even cleared the table next to the buffet for me, so I could have my toddler in the high chair and still get food as I was so close by. The food was great.

There was a problem with my gift card so the lovely Tanya fixed it all up and gave me a printout so I could use the card again. I seems because I kept the card near the Seaworld yearly pass card it had become demagnetised.

That was it after lunch straight to the gift shop to use all the money left on my gift card prize. Before they said I couldn't use it any more. Did you know that the Seaworld gift shop is really inexpensive. I brought 2 nice towels for $15 and a giant dolphin for $20. I started to rain now so everyone had the same thoughts go to the gift shop. I queued to pay and gave the lady my gift card and printout. She said I would have to wait. She called 2 more staff to help. But none of them served me. I had to wait about half an hour with 2 kids touching everything in the shop ( at least they didn't break anything). Finally they sorted everything. We have been to Seaworld twice and still haven't done everything you really need a yearly pass as there is so much to do.

Sunday Cyclone Ului roughed up the ocean. But it really isn't that big. We went to Rainbow I tried to get out the back but I couldn't, just caught some little reforms. My Son caught the best waves. The inshore had little waves and it was easy to paddle out for him. I had my short fun board 7,2 mini mal shape. Lightweight and easy to move. Well to my surprise he start to catch really long waves, then he even moved the board- just like his ripstik skateboard. He did really well, its all easy for him now. He's a natural being around the beach his whole life and he has great balance.

Off to Paradise Country at Oxenford today, its a farm based attraction. School excursion with my son. Never heard of it before, it will be an adventure.

Love that Ocean! See you out in the surf! SALTY.
