Whats happening to women?

Image
IERA event at UCL on 9 March : Lawrence Krauss Have just learned that iERA has now been banned from hosting further events at UCL because of the incident regarding segregated seating at the event at which I appeared . I n Australia, they finally stood up to the narrow minded Middle eastern population. The riots in Sydney were about Middle eastern men spitting on women, at the beach in their bikinis and calling them terrible names. This had been happening for about 15 years. Till Australia stood up and said - NO MORE.  The fact the Middle eastern men treat their women like object for their own desire and pleasure, does not work in our western society. They hurt humiliate and lock them and their freedom away.  Apparently in France, when its pray time if they have to prey and they are crossing the road- the traffic has to wait for them. What the?? Negotiating things when they are out of waranty. Warranty or Warrantee?

Image
NEGOTIATING POST-WARRANTY REPAIRS PAYS OFF We managed to negotiate a great deal for repairs on our out-of-warranty mower and save $424! Three years ago we bought a new lawnmower at a cost of $500. It came with a two-year warranty, but exactly three years later it refused to start!  So off to the mower shop we went only to be told a valve had come loose inside the engine. This had damaged other bits internally and the mower was not repairable. As the warranty had run out 12 months earlier we now faced buying another mower at a minimum of $550 new! Not one to just accept this, I rang the company that makes the engines to discuss why their product should fail after just three years. After making a point that I had bought the mower because of their good name and expected it to last a lot longer than it did, we came to an agreement. They would supply a new engine and I would pay for the labour to have it fitted.  The end result was that I paid $126 for the labour and got a new ...

Fuel Price Bargain of the day- fuel is up up up

Image
Surfing the waves and Surfing the Bargains. Matildas fuel at Tugun is cheaper then the garage right next to it Coles at Tugun. Cheaper even with the 8cent a  litre discount. I diligently shopped at Coles to get my discount 8c a litre discount. Matildas is 143.9 Coles  is 146.9 with 8c a litre discount, non discounted price is 154.9. This shows you have to always read the signs, not blindly assume the discounted voucher will give you cheaper fuel. I checked the motormouth website to see if they listed it.  They didn't have Matildas, but stated the Tweed Coles is at 141.9 http://motormouth.com.au/pricesearch.aspx?Region=Gold+Coast Swell dropping off, waves are smaller get in quick before it all goes. BEST SURF and Bargain of the WEEK- Video: Gold Coast Stars Shred After The Storm

Image
Today was the best day ever after the storm 5-2-2013.    Cyclone Oswald brought wind  and rain and huge swells. Each day calmed a little. The first couple of rainy day were strong and  powerful waves like Hawaii. The kind of waves where the wave does the work and not the board, so it was short board time. I rode my 7"2 fun board instead of my 8 footer. It was so big I stayed on the inside, the current was so strong at Rainbow Little Marley, that I drifted to the top of Greenmount when I finally got out. The whole time paddling out with massive walls of whitewash to duck dive. Then luckily there were smaller ones on the top of Greenmount, these had so much power, thick and forceful I thought was at Hookipa in Maui Hawaii. The colour of the water was brown, you could not see anything under you. There were logs and branches and other bits of storm residue everywhere. If you watch this video you will see how rough Snapper was, although the Pros chose to surf D'ba...
