CONGRATS Kelly Slater. You didi it again - Magic!
Check out the highlights from the final of the Quiksilver Pro held at Kirra. 13/3/2013.
It was big steep and scary drops, I wouldn't even surf in it. I stood on Kirra Point , right in the middle of the ocean really. It was hot and crowded for the semis.
Then the rain came coupled with the wind it was actually cold.
It was the most amazing surfing I have ever seen. In challenging difficult conditiions.
For the final I had to have arguments with people so they would not go in front of me. As they blocked the view for me and everyone else. Luckily they were mainly Brazilian, so my Portuguese came in handy. One guy even challenged me and wanted to argue. Instead of being apologetic he said,
"Is this your rock" So arrogant and selfish. He moved eventually.
You can Watch on the link- Kelly, Joel and Mick, just tube and barrel wow.

Well there is more to the Kelly win then I realized. I thought Kelly had dropped on Joel when I was watching and may of lost the whole thing. I heard on the radio that Kelly did drop in, and infact he had priority. He used it to his advantage. He know the game, he knows the rules and he won because of it.
Check out this amazing photo it was on the front page of the Bulletin Gold Coast today. Joel actually is giving Kelly the finger. He knew he just did a legal drop in- with his priority.

KELLY SLATER SWOOPS ON JOEL PARKINSON, KIRRA POINT, GOLD COAST
Hey kid, wanna know something? Kelly Slater just won his 52nd world tour event, being the Quiksilver Pro, Gold Coast. He beat Joel Parkinson in the final with 18.56 points. You can read a full breakdown here, but for now let us discuss the two moments you see on this page.
Above, Kelly uses his priority and drops in on Joel to stop him getting a score, while Joel expresses his thoughts on Kelly’s move with a hand gesture. “I was actually hoping he’d break his board,” laughed Kelly later. “I had priority. He had a good wave. It didn’t matter. If he didn’t go on that wave, I would have taken that wave. It just looked like a big, throaty one. I thought it did look a little long to stay open. I was sitting on that corner down there. That’s where that sand starts to come into the bay. That was my game plan all day.”
