Generosity found with a Pineapple. Restored faith in Humanity

Image
My faith in humanity was restored today when I went to the PBS fruit and vegetable market. I had spent all my money and forgotten my favourite acid free pineapples. So I check my coins I had nearly $1.  "Good you have $1 pineapples" I mentioned to the pineapple man. His stall is next to the fish man. He said just take some. He gave me 3 of  the biggest ones which would have cost $5. I said here take my coins. He refused. I thanked him and really had my faith restored. There are good generous people in the world. Surf was challenging fun yesterday for surfing mums, the swell is back. Had a good workout. Thanks to all that returned on a perfect beach day. There was even a shallow pool for the littlies. Love that Ocean! See you out in the surf! SALTY. surfergirlgoldcoast.blogspot.com/

The 7 deadly sins of rsumdesign + Alley Surf Fun

The 7 deadly sins of rsumdesign This is an interesting article about resume writing. I always use Times New Roman Font as I have read its what my Pc monitors can read well. I'll try Georgia next time. To all those little baby girls named Georgia, I bet you didn't know you were named after a font. Read the comments also they add a different perspective. Love those rainy adventure days at the Alley Surfing Mums thanks girls. The littlest tent in the world, that gave me a kink in my neck (so low have to bend) did keep us warm. The ocean is warmer then the air at the moment. Surf was great fun, crowds were in bed because of the rain. Love that Ocean! See you out in the surf! SALTY. surfergirlgoldcoast.blogspot.com/

Image
Credit Card Rip offs- check your receipts. Stores that charge you extra to use your Credit card. I say boycott them! In 5th avenue Palm Beach the shoe man. Never even told me he was charging me extra. I had asked if I can pay with CC. He never mentioned the extra fee. I looked at my receipt and saw 45c more then the agreed price. This is a RIP OFF. He saying my fees, my fees. I say my fees (I pay CC fees too) and its the cost of doing business. He says all small business does it. I say no they don't I'll look around for another shoe man.  Also the newsagent there charges 25c. Palm Beach 5th avenue shops. I will shop at another newsagent. These were the waves during Easter phenomenal! Crowded but glassy and amazing. Its gone flat again. Still beautiful at the beach, as the weather is a little cooler. I can also go for a nice walk and not melt- yeeha! I just heard that Woolworths are about to do it too. Show them it does matter by walking to Coles! I think its

--- HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON | Official Movie Site | In Theaters March 2010 ---

--- HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON | Official Movie Site | In Theaters March 2010 --- This a great 3d movie. I would recommend this to any child over 5 is not afraid of dragons on the big screen. The story was so unexpected and original. I loved this one. You don't need to have kids to see this one- Go see it. Its the story of Hiccup the son a famous strong Viking leader of the village. He's clumsy and not a dragon killer like his dad, infact he's a disappointment. No one in the village wants to look after him. He's very clever and an engineer and he devises a way to bring down a flying dragon. Noone believes he even caught it, so he goes into the jungle to find it. There he finds this black dragon NIGHT FURY the most ferocious and unique dragon there is. As the dragon is all tied up, he doesn't look too scary. Hiccup thinks now he can become a Viking and kill his first dragon. This is what would make his father proud. He looks at the dragon. His yellow eyes looks as scar

Watoto - Choir

Watoto - Choir FREE CONCERT- The Watoto children's choir. Orphaned children from Africa, will be performing a free concert;  April 7 Wednesday night @ 7 pm  PBC Palm Beach Currumbin High School Hope to see you there. We went to this concert it was just beautiful. The children were all orphans from Uganda in Africa. They sang and danced and told there sad stories. They had video on the big screen showing the amazing work in the Watoto village. Where 8 children are given a mother and a house. They are given food and go to school. It was great to see. As most lived in the streets begging had no home. This was like going to Uganda without stepping a foot on the plane. Definite Must see.  The movie Blood Diamond with Leoardo Dicaprio  (great movie by the way) had scenes like what has happened in  Uganda. Young boys abducted and force to become military and do terrible things. These boys now feel so sad about what they were forced to do, or be killed themselves. At the Watoto villag

Coastalwatch :: surfcams :: Rainbow Bay

Coastalwatch :: surfcams :: Rainbow Bay Just look at the lines. thought I was in Hawaii today. Huge powerful waves. More then double overhead. It was too big for me, ultra crowded. It was a spectacular to watch. Yesterday was much smaller. Once again I say to Surfers do not run someone over. Pull off, change direction. This guy on a short board fell on top off me on my back, no damage to me or the board. he apologised and said, "I thought I could go round you". I was so upset with him and a little in shock. I have never ran over anybody, I get off the wave or go straight to avoid collision, guys don't seem to care. I hope it drops a little tomorrow and all the tourists go shopping as they are surfed out. More lines tomorrow. Enjoy. Love that Ocean! See you out in the surf!
